The Palo Pinto County Historical Association is a nonprofit that documents and preserves materials regarding county history since 1890. It is comprised of county commissioners court members and commission-nominated delegates. The Association contains four committees: History Appreciation, Marker, Archaeology, and Oral History.

Notes
Henry Seaman was the brother of Orland Seaman. Their father, L. E. Seaman, owned what is still called the SET Ranch located north of the town of Palo Pinto. At one time the SET Ranch was the largest ranch in Palo Pinto County.
