MRS DOROTHY TWISEIAiNQUEEN
As Goner Pyle would say, "surprise, Surprise, Surprise." And, Mrs, Dorothy
Wiseimn was certainly 'surprised' at Woodsonts Homecoe:ing game, when she was
announced "MISS HOiSCOHING QUEEN." The announcement was kept secret from Mrs.
JTisenan until the last rorment,
She was selected by the homecoming cormiittee because of her most professional
annenr and accorrplishnents and her Christian attitude on and off her job.
firs. Wiseman is business and English instructor at Woodson High School. She
serves also as Junior High Student Council Sponsor.
The Favorite Teacher Aiward has been presented to her for two years by the
students, Graduating frorn Woodson High School in 1946, she attended Paul .(uinn
College in Waco, Texas where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Education. She has done further study at Prairie View A&i College, McIlurry
Collce, and Hardin-Si lm.ons University,
Being one of Woodson's best secretaries for five years, i-rs. zWiseman decided
to teach. This decision resulted in Woodson having recruited one of its best
teachers in its over 50 year history. She is now in her seventh year of teaching
at Woodson.
As a member of the N. 10th Street Church of Christ, she serves as Sunday
School teacher of the primary class. A native of Mlt. Vernon, Texas, MIrs. Wisernn
came to LAbile in 1942, She, her husband, i:r, 0. D. Ltiscman, and their son,
reside at 1833 Pasadena Drive.CITIZENS
