ADAM OLIPHANT, the director of Washington, D C. ts "PRIDE" organization, and
the son of Rev, and lrs. T. G. Oliphant, will be the featured speaker at the final
Woodson High School graduation.
Adam is an honor graduate of the class of 1957.

not to miss Abilenets own ADAM OLI P H N T.ONE OF THE OUTSTANDING BAMDS OF 1968
WOODSON, TAYLOR, BEN MILM, AND VALLEY VIEW bands
combined to form one of the most outstanding elementary
bands in Abilene.
Thursday, May 16, all elementary bands were presented
in their annual spring concert.
The four schools mentioned above and under the direction
of Howard Caver, presented three selections
that drew a standing ovation from several in the audience,When questioned about the rapid progress of the
combined group, Caver stated, "This year I have been
most fortunate to have a great group'of dedicated
children to work with in each school."MUSIC DEPARTMENT DELIGHTS
AUDIENCE
The three musical organizations of Woodson Elementary
School presented an hour s presentation of
music.
The choir and orchestra under the direction of
Mr. Ocic Lacy, Jr., performed various selections
to the delight of the audience.
The band, under the direction of Mr. Howard Caver,
proved to be the most advanced band .'oodson Elcr
mentary has had in several years.
Congratulations! to Woodson Elementary Musicians!
