Pi Gamma Mu in 1981
The Texas Rho chapter of HPU is part of an
international honor society for students in the field
of Social Sciences. Qualifications include junior or
senior standing with at least 20 semester hours in
Social Science and a minimum of a "B" average.
Pi Gamma Mu members extend their educational
experience beyond the classroom by welcoming
distinguished guest speakers and by engaging in
service projects beneficial to Howard Payne. Pi
Gamma Mu members aspire to be professionals in
the field of Social Science in order to change the
world for the next generation.48
