Obituary,
William Nichols Ringer was
born at LeGrauge, Georgia,
October 15, 1838, married to
Mary Wilkinson February 18,
1868, died at his home in Pala-
cios, Texas, Tuesday October 2,
1917, being nearly seventy-nine
years of age.
Mr. Ringer with hi^ family

ago when there were only
thirteen houses here, and has
watched it grow to a comfor-
able little city. He leaves to
mourn his loss his widow, four
sons and four daughters, several
grandchildren and one great-
grand-child. All his children
we^s present during his shore
illness except the eldest son,
who had just undergone a major
operation, and one son in
California. The sons are
Edwand Ringer, Oklahoma, W.
L. Ringer, Dallas; C. W. Ringer
Corsicana; C. C. Ringer, Cali-
forna. The daughters are Mrs.
LuIaGibsor*. Palacios; Mrs. J. D.
Gray and Mrs. R. R. Sattoon,
Houston; Mrs. M. V. Moth, San
Antonio.
Funeral services were held at
the house Wednesday at four
o'clock. When Rev. Garrett of
the M. E. church spoke words of
hope and comfort to the sorrow-
ing relatives. Interrment,
under the direction of under-
taker Feather, was made in
Palacios cemetery, and another
soul has passed to his reward.

Louise Billings, Nannie Truitt,
Alpha Bussell, Virginia Robin-
son and Hazel Hall.
