Jack Crmbtree, while doing some blasting out in the Cook field, had
the misfortune of getting pretty badly hurt Thursday. He had put
down two or threo blasts, and after one went, while investigating why
the other did not get action, the thing blew up. Reported that one
lag and arm was broken, and head pretty badly cut up. He was rushed
to the hoapital at Breckenridge by Castleberry ambulance service.
It's hoped that Jack is not so badly hurt as reported. He was working
far Roeser-Pendleton.

ica it's brain and brawn, not blood, that is royal blood, but they are
red blooded all the same, that kind that is full of kick, crowns and
castle spell nothing in this country—We all work and glory in our
jobs, hence we rule the world, the American dollar is km* of finance.

Jesse L. English was a pleasant caller at the News office this week.
He came in to inform us that he was making plans to build a new
home. He has just recently sold his home to Mr. and Mrs. I'hil Ken-
dricks. Jesse said that he did not really intend to sell his home, hut
got caught in a jam, in this way; he priced his home so high, that he
thought surely he was safe. Hut they called his hand, and he had to
ante, hence out of a home. Now he will build another homo on same
block of land, just west of the home he recently sold.
