The Sophomore Class
OFFICERS:
WALTER ADAMS . . . . . . President
ELAM CATO ... Vice-President
GRAYCE WATSON .. Secretary-Treasurer
So important is the Class of '25 that it attracted members from Washington, D. C., Tennessee,
Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, as well as from Texas. So enterprising, too, have its members
proved that three football letter men and three basketball letter men hold membership with the
Sophomores. In debating, too, the class has had a high percentage of representation. When one
looks at the Sophomore edition of The Optimist, he is constrained to believe that journalism is
the long suit of the Sophs also.
The class numbers about sixty members all told, although their pictorial representation in
the PRICKLY PEAR falls somewhat short of this figure.
The class, while having many new members, has one year of l:fe in Abilene Christian College
behind it, and is marked for its qualities of good sense and dependability as well as for its
leaders of extraordinary talent.
As a proof of their courage, one may cite the fact that a number have been taking a course
in English literature under the head of the English Department. Also, they have never seemed
afraid of the freshmen.
Ere long most of the members of the class of '25 will have become junebugs and will not
have to suffer more.-56
