Delta Chi Rho
D elta Chi Rho began its second year focused
on the well-being of its members by meeting
regularly and having accountability groups.
"Our focus this year has been on brotherhood and
accountibility," said Zach Nieland, club president.
The small yet spirited club continues to grow
strong. Created in April 2000, the club continued to
build by taking on five new members in the 25-member
group this year.
According to Delta Chi Rho members, smaller is
better.
"We are trying not to grow that much because we
like it small," Zach said.
The club's Homecoming breakfast for the alumni
hosted only one alumnus at Reservations Only. For
now, the Homecoming breakfast is really just a time
for the club members to get together, but it will soon
be a time of reunion.
"The breakfast is just something to get it rolling,"
Zach said. "We will have the tradition started in the
next couple of years."

Champions" float designed as a Wheaties cereal box
and bowl. Other events included grub and a formal
called "Space Odyssey."
Delta Chi Rho was not able to participate in Sing
Song but they were able to do many other activities
to represent ACU. The club has visited Windcrest
Alzheimer's Home many times, usually singing and
spending time with the residents. Members have also
done hard manual labor with the Salvation Army.
"We just tried to do all the service activities that
we could," Zach said.
This year has shown itself in the club motto: "Be
on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of
courage; be strong. Do everything in Love." - I Corinthians
