Pre-registration of kindergartners
to be Friday, May 20
Next year's kindergartners
will be pre-registered at the
Primary School on Friday,
May 20, between the hours of
9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. To
be eligible for kindergarten, a
child must be five years old
on or before September 1,
1977. In order to pre-register
the child, the parent will need
his/her birth certificate and
immunization record.
These are the immuniza-
tion record.
These are the immuniza-
tions a child must have in
order to enter kindergarten:
A series of three D.P.T.
immunizations, plus a booster
if as much as a year has gone
by since the third shot.
A series of two Polio
immunizations, plus either a
third immunization or a
booster after the child is four
years old. (Even if he has had
a booster before the age, he
must have another after the
age of four.)
Ruebella and Rubeolo--the
measles shots. If the child has
had the disease, he must still
have the shots, according to
instructions recently receiv-
ed by the school from the
State Health Department.
No child will be allowed to
enter school in the fall
without meeting all require-
ments concerning birth certi-
ficats and immunizations;
however, even if these
requirements are not up to
date at the present time,
parents are asked to come in
on May 20 to fill out
registration forms and to be
sure of what they will need in
order to enter their children
in school in the fall. If it is
impossible for them to come
on that date, registrations
will be accepted during the
week of June 6-10 in the
Primary School office. Be-
cause of the many activities
connected with the closing of
school, the school will not be
able to handle registrations
between May 20 and June 6.
