He also raised some cattle and goats. The following year
was a bad:year. They had heavy rains and their crops were bad.
They decided to go out to the ranches to work for that year. In
those days automobiles were scarce so he bought himself a wagon
pulled by two mules. He brought two men with him. They drove
their wagon to a ranch named Casa de Piedra. Their job was shearing
sheep. They were paid 50O(4 a day.

Valentin and Angela had a family of six. She had 3 boys and
