The person in this photo is John Francis Conners Sr. He was
born on June 24, 1901 in New York City. This photo was taken at Mr,
Conners's First Holy Commrunion at St.. Thomas Catholic Church in New York.
.This was about the (year -of- 1913 dr,'1914.1
Mr. Conners then joined the army in the year of 1919. He fought
Tn Sibera and got out in 1922.. He then enlisted again in 1928 and was
stationed at Tt. Clalk, TX where he ended his term in 1931. He then
enlisted in the 1st Calvary at Ft. Russel, TX. After the closing of
Ft. Russel, he was transferred to the 12th Calvary. He has served 12

years in the service.
In the year 1930, he married Frances Milan. They have 8 children
and 2 grandchildren they have adopted as their own. They have six sons
and four daughters and about 18 grandchildren.3
Mr. Conners and his family still make their home in Marfa,
