The Rivers and Ravines
Written by Heather McDonald
Director - Erin Perry
In the late 1970s and on into the 1980s, an idea called "perpetual
debt" brought America's farming and ranching community to it's
knees. An agricultural depression swept the nation; thousands of
families were left desolate and bankrupt. They were forced from their
homes and the only life many of them had ever known. Yet through it
all, some found hope. The Rivers and Ravines is their story. This
moving play began our Spring Second Season Series. Student director
Erin Perry staged the production in Van Ellis Theatre. The Rivers and
Ravines was also HSU's entry into the Christian University Theatre
Festival. The Rivers and Ravines, Left to Right Front: Josh Jones, Jonathan Michelsen, Meredith Pecina, Stephanie Flourney. Second
