Now THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAtMED by the City Commission of the
City of Clarendon that all automobiles, vans, trucks, motorcycles,
recreational vehicles, motorhomes, travel trailers, trailers, waterycraft
and aircraft required to be registered and licensed for use
in Texas or the United States shall be assessed and taxed on their
market value in this tax district.

AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF GARBAGE
CONTAINERS WITHIN THE CITY OF CLARENDON, TEXAS
AND THE DISPOSAL OF ROOFING MATERIALS,
CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, CONCRETE AND OTHER
COMMERCIALLY PRODUCED BULKY MATERIAL.:'
WHEREAS, the City of Clarendon has contracted with Browning-Ferris
Industries for the establishment of a containerized garbage disposal
service; and
WHEREAS, the landfill previously operated by the City of Clarendon
and The County of Donley is to be closed, and
WHEREAS, there are no ordinances or regulations controlling or
regulating the use and maintenance of the new garbage collection
system; and
WHEREAS, this City has the right and duty to adopt and enforce such
regulations as are necessary in order to control the use of such
garbage disposal services and facilities, and to protect the health
and safety of the community;
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLARENDON, TEXAS:
Section 1: No burning of garbage, leaves, tree trimmings, or other
refuse within the city limits shall be allowed without the prior
written consent of the city fire marshall. Under no circumstances
shall any person burn or cause to ignite the refuse contained in any
garbage or refuse container provided by the City, or by any person
or business entity which provides such containers.
Section 2: No side loading garbage container provided by the City,
or by any person or business entity providing such containers, shall
be filled with roofing materials, construction materials, concrete,
brick, stone, dirt or soil, stoves, refrigerators, water tanks, washing
machines, or other similar bulky materials.
Section 3: The disposal of roofing materials, construction materials,
concrete, brick, stone, dirt and soil, and other bulky materials by
contractors shall be made into the roll-off container provided by
the City. Prior to disposing of such materials, the contractor shall
contact the City office to obtain permission to dispose of such
materials. At that tire, the contractor shall inform the City office
of the nature of the materials and the approximate wieght and volume.
Upon payment of a disposal fee to the City office, and approval by the
City office, the contractor shall be allowed to dispose of such materials.
The City shall maintain a fee schedule in the City office, which schedule
shall be set by resolution of the City Council, and amended from time
to time as the City Council deems necessary.
Section 4: Any individual resident or business, which is not a
contractor producing roofing materials, construction materials,
concrete, brick, stone, dirt or soil or other bulky materials in
the normal course and scope of their employment or business operation
shall not be allowed to dump more than one (1) pickup load of such
