Ernie Johnston gave a report on paving progress at the college.

Motion was made by Alderman David Pitts, seconded by Alderman
Mac Stavenhagen, to submit the following five names to be
nominees for the Board of Directors of the Donley County
Appraisal District:
1. James Kuhn
2. J. D. Shanks
3. Ernest Johnston
4. Todd Knorpp
5. Carrol DlcKeever
Mel Roy Cofer of Lone Star Gas asked the City to counter
offer if they would not accept the 72% increase, Mr, Cofer
will report back to the Board with the results.
Insurance bids from Texas Municipal League. Pampa Insurance
Agency, and Knorpp Insurance were taken. Motion was made by
Alderman Mac Stavenhaqen, seconded by Alderman Bobbie Kidd,
to accept the bfd from Knorpp Insurance. Motion carried,
Motion was made by Alderman David Pitts, seconded by Alderman
Mac Stavenhagen, to advertise bids on the Inland Marine
Package, and the Public Officials Liability. Motion carried.
There being no further business at this time, motion was
made by Alderman David Pitts, seconded by Alderman 3McI\inley
Smith, to adjourn. Motion carried,

OCTOBER 12, 1993
7:00 P.M.
The Board of Aldermen of the City of Clarendon met in regular
session on October 12, 1993, at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room,
City Hall.
Members present; Mayor Steve Smith, Aldermen McKinley Smith,
David Pitts, Delmar W~igqs, and Bobbie Kidd.
Members absent: Alderman Mlac Stavenhagen.
Others present: Sue Howard, City Secretary, Mary Linn Bills,
Librarian, Ernie Johnston, Mel Roy Cofer, and Carroll McKeever
of Lone Star Gas Company.
Minutes of the September 28, 1993, meeting were read and
upon a motion by Alderman McKinley Smith, seconded by
Alderman David Pitts, said minutes were approved. Motion
carried.
Mlary Linn Bills gave the annual report for the Library.
Ernie Johnston gave a progress report on the paving.
Mel Roy Cofer of Lone Star Gas was present to discuss the
proposed gas rate. Lone Star Gas accepted the City's
counter offer of a 4% increase which will go into effect
