250 MURRY - PEEVEY - I neen information on William Henry MURRY (born Jan, 1866,
died June, 1918) and his first wife, A. Rebecca (Becky) PEEVEY (born July, 1876,
died circa 1904-05 in childbirth). They were married in Wood Co., Tx. on Sept.
23, 1894. There were four children: Barney Richard ( 1898-1969); Lula (1899 -
1900); Mary (1901-1920); Clora Lee (born 1902); stillborn male circa 1904-05.
William's second wife was Lenona (Nonie) BURNS. Both William and Becky were
dead by the time my grandmother Verna WELLS married Barney MURRAY. Any information

brothers who came from Walton Co., GA to Rusk Co., TX about 1855. Will exchange

252 MORRIS-PARVIN - PERVIN - Any information would be appreciated and exchanged
on the following: Mary Ann Tisby PARVIN b, 1832 in Morgan or Madison Co., Ala.,
m. William Taylor MORRIS 25 JAN 1849. Their children were William Franklin,
Ruben James Lafayette, Palmira, Liman, and Mary Willie. Her siblings were:
Ephram, Lafayette and Palmira. Mary Ann and William Taylor MORRIS came to
Cherokee Co., Tx circa 1855. They were my Great grandparents. Who were her
parents? Did any other PARVINS come to Texas also? Mary Ann died in 1864 at
Larissa, Texas, and is buried there. William Taylor Morris was stationed at the
Military Ordinance at Tyler, Texas at the time of her death.

253 ALLEN - LAWSON - I would like to know more about my gr.gr.gr.grandfather
Samuel T. ALLEN. In the 1850 census of Rusk County he is listed as a merchant
born in Vermont in 1801. Wife Lucretia? born in N. Carolina in 1801. Son,
Montgomery Edmond ALLEN, 25 years old, born in Tenn. He married Martha HALTOM
in 1850 and died in 1852. Nelson ALLEN may be of this family. All living in
Mt. Enterprise in 1850. My gr.gr.grandfather John P. LAWSON was born in GA. in
1803. He married Caroline ANDERSON in 1832 in Green Co., Al. They were in
Nacogdoches Co., TX in 1834. I have names and dates on all of their children
and will be glad to share the information.
