ner, Scouts, Cub Scouts and
Webelos Scouts will find a collection
of exciting reading in the May and
June issues of Boys' Life to whet ev-
discipline and hard work of long dis-
tance running have meant to his life.

ing the whole troop. There's also a
feature on "Scout Fitness Games'
while the Pedro Patrol shows the right
steps to take for the proper emer-

(the July theme) is Octathlon, and the
Pedro Patrol will give pointers on con-
ducting that increasingly popular
Scouting event that's packed full with
Scout skill contests.

the lives of successful young athletes
from all sports, major and minor. In
May, for instance, Olympic marathon
champion Frank Shorter tells what the

100 percent Boys' Life subscribers
will receive a 100 percent Unit Certifi-
cate with their yearly charter. On the
certificate is a tear-off sheet that you
send to our National Council request-
ing a free 1 00 percent ribbon or patch
for your unit. For those of you who
want extra patches for your boys,
they're available at 25 cents each.
