Why are school children least li kely to be tatoght
about the danger that's most likely to kill them?
Virtually every school is
equipped to teach its students how to
protect themselves from dangers like
auto accidents. Malnutrition. Vision
defects. K.vcn tooth decay.
Yet, many schools are
woefully ill-prepared to teach children
how to protect themselves from a far
more clear and present danger: Fire.
Somew here in the United
States, a fire breaks out every 37 sec-
onds. And,/ire is the number one killer of
children under 14 in the household.
Now with the coupon l>elow and a hit
of cub scouting time, you can help to re-
duce these numbers.
As a public service, Burger
King Corporation has worked with
leading fire safety experts and
educators to develop an innovative,
fun-filled educational unit, "You're Big
Knough for Fire Safety."
It's designed to help kids
ages 6-12 learn to recognize fire hazards,
accept responsibility for their personal
safety, and cope with fire emergency
situations.
The kit includes a 12-page
Teaching Guide filled with fire safety
techniques (like Stop, Drop and Roll
illustrated above) background infor-
mation, and stimulating, practical
classroom learning activities.
It also includes 8 duplicat-
ing masters, 20 flash cards, and a fire
safety board game featuring Snuffy®,
the talking fire engine. (Snuffy is also
the star of a 14-minute, color, sound
film which is available to Cub Scout
leaders on free loan from every Burger
King® restaurant in the U.S.A. and
Canada.)
Mail the coupon today and
start teaching children the most impor-
tant skill they can learn: The skill of stay-
ing alive.
