in the spring issue. Among the first were Chick Pierce and Darwin Payne.
The occasion was a Dallas Symphony Orchestra super pops concert at the
Marriott Motor Hotel in December 1967. Six Dallas civic leaders were guest
performers in a presentation of Mozart's "Toy Symphony." Pictured left to
right are Stanley Marcus; D. Vornholt, a DSO employee; MayorJ. Erik
Jonsson; Lloyd Bowles of Dallas Federal Savings and Loan;James W.Aston
of Republic National Bank;John Stemmons, real estate developer; and
Robert Cullum of Tom Thumb.64
