On going to press we learn that
Charles Kight of Claude and
Mis9 Polly Reed of Oklahoma,
also J. E. Younger of Claude and
Miss Pauline Bennett, of Good-
night, stoled a march on their
friends and their parents, and
were married at the Baptist par-
sonage, Rev. 1 licks tieing the
double bow knot at 10:30 Wed-
nesday night, which united for
life the lives of four very happy
young people.
Immediately after the cere-
mony the young folks had Geo.
F. Griffin to motor them to Ama-
rillo, where they are expected to
take cars to other points on a
honey moon trip.
There was serious objection on
the part of some of the parents,
hut as the newly weds wert of
age when married, the objections
will avail very little.
Chailes Kight is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. C. O. Kight, and was
reared to manhood in Claude.
Miss Polly Reed, now Mrs Kight
comes from Oklahoma. She has
been a pupil of the Goodnight
college for some time, at which
place Mr, Kight met, wooed and
won her. She is a rare prize
indeed and he is to be congratu-
lated upon his good judgement.
Mr. Younger is the popular
clerk in J. H. Weaver's store at
Claude, while Miss Pauline is the
pretty, accomplished and win-
some daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Matt Bennett, leading merchant
at Goodnight

which they will not socu forget.

Thos. J. Stewart of Oklahoma
City spent several days recently
with his cousin N. J. Slay at
)laude. They had not met in
over 85 years. Mr. Slay raised
Mr. Stewart from childhood, and
he is pleased to show that Mr.
Stewart is one of the loading
lumbermen in Oklahoma, now
owning ten lumber yards in that
state. It was a very pleasant
meeting.
A group of yoiuig people en-

present were: Misses Ruth

Sam Hamilton.
In the interest of further develop-
ing and upbuilding the territory
through which their lin<% are opor-
ated, the Fort Worth & Denver City
and Wichita Valley Railway Compa
nies have issued an attractive 30
page booklet entitled "Prosperity
Pointers For Farmers" and contain-
ing valuable information regarding
soil condition and the money mak-
ing crops te which same is best
adapted as proven through the pro-
duction of the numerous bumper
crops which have produced general-
ly posperous conditions and are
constantly making it possible for
' Renters" to become prosperous
"Home Owners."
A few of these booklets are still
available for those whom it may
lie possible to interest in the ques-
tion of locating in Northwest Texas.
If, therefore, you have any friends
that you desire to interest, and will
send us their names and addresses,
we will find pleasure in mailing
them copies of the issue referred to.
If you have friends to whom you
would like to send copies yourself,
instead of having us do soj we will
send booklets desired free of cost.
