Graduation Exercises.
On account of the rain the grad-
uation exercises of the public
schools were not held Friday night
but were postponed until Saturday
night and held at Howard Payne
chapel. The program was nicely
executed and every one reflected
credit on the schools and on the
teachers. The graduates for the
session are Miss Bettie ' Reagan
who took first honors of her class
Miss Marietta Hardeman second
honor and Misses Leonora Evans
and Stella Edwards

Tuesday morning when the peo-
ple began to assemble at the tab-
ernacle there was a flock of frying
sized chickens in possession. They
took a hurried look at the crowd
and withdrew to the farther corner
of the building. When Bro. Stu-
art entered with his broad Meth-
odist smile the chickens showed
their judgment of human nature by
neighborhood.:
