THE BIBLE SCHOOL
E. E. LEE OF DALLAS DELIVERS
A GREAT LECTURE.
CONVERSATION OF POWER
In the Churches Is a Subject on Which
Young Speaker Dwelt With Un
usual Interest.
The Bible school at Howard Payne
college continues with interest. The
ministers in attendance as well as
those who attend from hero are more
than delighted with the lectures they
have listened to and look forward with
interest to those to come yet. Last
night E. K. Lee of Dallas lectured on
the "Conservation of power in the
Church1' a subject as handled by the
eloquent and earnest speaker that
brought out a urettv thouirht. Mr.
Lee is a young business man of Dal-
las who was some time ago made
state secretary of the B. Y. P. U. He"
Is a clever reasoher and an enthusias-
tic worker among the young people.
A very pretty illustration used by
the speaker was that nine thousand
tons of water goes over the Niagara
Falls every second showing a most
wonderful loss of power. So it is
with the church. Is is simply a won-
der that the church permits so much
young energy to go to waste. The
speaker also urged the church to util-
ize the energy of the young and point-
d out tho great work possible for
! them to do.
Dr. C. YV Daniels of Fort Worth
will lecture tonight.
Devotional services will he held at
the college at 9:30 o'clock after which
Dr. C B. Williamsprofessor of New
Testament and Greek in the South-
western Baptist Theological Seminary
will deliver one of his live lectures on
the Book of Romans.
At 11 o'clock tomorrow there will be
a lecture by Dr. .1. L. Ward secre-
tary of Texas Baptist Educational
Commission.. .
At 2:30 Devotional services will be
held.
At .'5:00 in the afternoon there will
be a lecture by Dr. Baten. .
At 4:00 in the afternoon Dr. Wil-
liams will lecture a second time.
At night Dr; Williams also lectures.
Everybody is cordially invited to
attend these lectures.
