PRESIDENT GROVE RETIRES FROM

the friends and patrons of Howard

head of Howard Payne College after
this session. While this may occasion
surprise to many it isno sudden im-
pulse on the part of President drove
that he wishes to give up the arduous
task and retire to private life. He has
spent -eighteen years of the best part
of his life in toil and sacrifice for the
college and it is gratifying to him no
doubt that he retires with the. love
and esteem of the large host of the col-
lege patrons and when the school is
manifestly ou rising title of prosperity.
