Will Malone Is
: In Charge of
1 City Plumbing
Will Malone well known to the
people of Brownwood took charge of
the plumbing department of the water
service of Brownwood today. Mr -Malone
is an expert in this line ancj us-
ed to. be in the service of the city
giving up his place toj try his luck in
the old fields in a distant part of the
state. 'Me says lie is glad to be m
Brownwood once again as he has
found it just about the best town of its
size on the map of the southwest.
prpp Prospects -
In Comity Are
I' Reported Good
Farmers in town today from various
parts of Brown county state that the
generaL-outlook lor crops is very ood
although jain is needed in practically
every section of the county. Corn and
cotton are both looking well and conn
siderable acreage of each has been
planted since the heavy tains -of two
iweeks ago. With a good rain now or
'within the next few days it is believ-
ed that a bumper crop of corn and
cotton will be raised in this county
harring of course 'other things that
might militate against the success of
such crop or crops.
