Texas
Brownwood has long been noted for her
educational institutions and people have been
attracted to the city making this their home
solely by reason of the fact that superior facil-
ities are afforded the young man and young
woman for securing a thorough practical edu-
cation. None of the educational institutions
of the state have shown such a wonderful
growth and development as has the National
Business College which opened its doors in
Brownwood just one year ago this week. Its
success was assured f roijh the very beginning
the young people of Brown and surrounding
counties welcoming the opportunity thus af-
forded to secure a practical business training
under skilled and experienced instructors who
have made that business their profession.
The National Business College of Brown-:
wood is one of five like institutions located in
Texas. It easily takes rank with the best busi-
ness .colleges of the south the course of study
being complete in the minutest details and stu-
dents who graduate from this institution are
able to command large salaries and hold the
most responsible positions.
Not only have the young people of Brown-
wood taken advantage of the opportunity af-
forded by this school but students have enroll-
ed from every part of the state. Many people
have been induced to come to Brownwood by
reason of the fact that the National Business
College is located here. From 200 to 300 stu-
dents have enrolled from 87 towns and three
have come from other states. No like institu-
tion has ever established such a record in so
short a time. -
Since opening the College has been com-
pelled by reason of the increased attendance
to add more seating capacity extra teachers
have been employed and the school has re-
cently added courses in abstracting and con-
veyance which is meeting with approval not
only from the students but from lawyers oil
companies land offices and business men in
general. This course is seldom found in the
average college and is inducing more students
to attend. The course is the most practical
ever given by any school.
The officers and directors as well as the
teachers of this school are highly educated
conservative and practical business men arid
women. No where you will find a better or
more fitted corps of executives than you will
find at the head of the National Business Col-
lege. They have given years of experience
and study to this particular object and that
they have succeeded is attested by the many
successful students that have graduated from
their schools.
If you are not trained for any particular
vocation. If you seek a better position where
your ability will provide a larger income talk
the matter over with the president of this
school. The many different courses to be had
will place you in position to demand a salary
commensurate with your ability.
