WASHINGTON. May 27.- The prog-
ress that airplane manufacture is
making in Mexico is attracting the at-
tention or officials here. The national
factory on the outskirts of Mexico
City has reached the stage of pro-
duction where it is turning out one
complete machine each week. The
engine of the machine is turned out
by the same plant.
The motor developed hy the Mexi-
can engineers Is known as the Aztatl
and is rated at eighty horsepower.
It is described as light cheap and
serviceable.
Steps have already been taken to-
ward the construction of aerial bombs
and the Mexican government is said
to plan the building of armored bomb
ing planes this year.
