Cost $1,250 To Improve Pasture -
Got It Back In 3 Months
That's what one Texas farmer did. It cost him S1.2S0 to
improve a 35 acre pasture. But in three months increased milk
production and the decrease in feed costs paid the $1,250 back
plus $200.
He made a "crop" profit and at the same time he rebuilt
the fertility of the soil.
Grasses and legumes plus crop rotation are working won-
ders. You gain in two ways from a grass-legume program. In
rotation with crops, yields are higher. Your land because of
increased fertility, even in permanent pastures, is worth more.
Talk this over with your Soil Conservation Service and
your County Agent.

SNAKF. INVADES CHURCH
Istachatta, Fla. — As Rev.
Feltch Weston, pastor of the
Baptist church, was preaching re-
cently, a four-foot black snake
slithered down the isle. As it
reached the pulpit, the pastor
threw a hymnbook at the snake.
When this failed to stop it, a wo-
man went outside, came back in
with a large rock and handed it
to the minister. He killed the
snake and resumed the sermon.
