ment buildings that I don't have
room to tell you in this letter,
but will say that I don't blame
Mr. Rayburn, Mr Morris or Mr.
Brown for wanting to come to
Congress. We came to Fredrick,
Maryland that evening. Had a |
nice visit and very restful night.
On Sunday, July 4th, we drove
with friends over to Harper's
Ferry where the Shenendoah
river empties into the Patomac
and there Maryland, Virginia and
West Virginia connect. I stood
with one foot in Maryland and
the other in West Virginia.
On Monday, July 5, we went
to Gettysburg where we secured
the services of a guide to travel
over the battle ground with us.

ing over 2,000 monuments. When
I studied U. S. History it didn't
mean anything to me except to
get my lesson (or get by) but
when you come face to face with '
the real ground where the battle
was fought, also the very ground j
