Council Of the City of
Wylie will be received at
the Wylie City Hall located
at 2000 Highway 78 North.
Wylie, Texas until 2:00
p.m., Friday, March 18,
2005 and then publicly
opened and read, for fur-
nishing all plant, labor,
material and equipment,
and performing all work
required for construction
of Cooper Drive Extension
- Paving and Utility
Improvements for approxi-
mately 700 feet of roadway
from the existing end of
Cooper Drive to State
Highway 78. The bid
schedule for the project is
included in the Plan
Specification Book. The
major items in the Base
Bid include approximately
2,330 S.Y. of 6" -3600 psi
concrete pavement,
approximately 1,500 If
monolithic curb, removal
and replacement of
approximately 10,000 sf
existing concrete pave-
ment. Water improve-
ments include 640 If 8"
C900 water, one fire
hydrant assembly, and all
related fittings and fix-
tures.
Proposals shall be accom-
panied by a cashier's or
certified check upon a
national or state bank in an
amount not less than five
percent (5%) of the total
maximum bid price,
payable without recourse
to the City of Wylie, or a
bid bond in the same
amount from a reliable
surety company holding a
permit from the State of
Texas to act as surety, as a
guarantee that the bidder
will enter into a contract
and executc performance
bond and payment bond
within ten (10) days after
notice of award of contract
to him. The notice of
award of contract will be
given by the Owner within
sixty (60) days following
the opening of bids.
The successful bidder must
furnish performance bond
upon the form provided iiv
the amount of 100 percent
of the contract price and a
material and labor payment
bond upon the form pro-
vided in the amount of 100
percent of the contract
price from an approved
surety company holding a
permit from the State of
Texas to act as surety or
other sureties acceptable to
the Owner.
The right is reserved, as the
interest of the Owner may
require, to reject any and
all bids, and to waive any
informality in bids
received. The City
reserves the right to con-
sider the most advanta-
geous combination of the
