PLAY BY PLAY
First Quarter
Hudson kicked off to Capt. J.
Smith, who was downed on the
Alto ten. Rusk held the Jackets
for downs and Alto repeated. Al-
to's punt was fumbled and Alto
recovered. Line plunge by J. Smith
1 ended. Score—Rusk 6 Alto 0.
Second Quarter
Thurman Capps made a first
down on Alto's 40. J. Smith lost
a yard. A pass, Capt. Smith to
Bynum, was good for 15 yards
and a first down. J. Smith went
through tackle for a first down.
Three attempts failed to gain and
on the last down, J. Smith heaved
a 30-yard pass to Rounsaville who
went over for a touchdown. A line
plunge failed to make the extra
point.
Dickey returned the kick-off to
Rusk's 35. He then lost 2 yards
around end. A pass, Dickey to
Payne, was good for a first down
on Alto's 42. L. Smith picked up
two through the line. Snellings
picked up a yard through the line.
L. Smith made first down. He did
it again. And again Hudson lost
