Cass County Schools
Liberty Grove'has made great
improvement, over last year.
Tbey have three teachers. Two
of the rooms are too small and
thpy still bavesome double desk*,
the rooms have been painted in-
side. The hectograph is not be
tug used. It can be used to
great advantage by all the teach
era in making lesson plans and
copies of tests. To do this some
extra work must be done outside
of school hours. The Travel
Magazine and other aids are us-
ed. Flag pole not up. Score,
735.
Called at Oak grove for tests.
Grade six and seven, not yet in.
Spent a day at Bloomburg.
Tests all reported except 2nd
grade. Some of them not graph
ed. It would be a good idea to
let the classes to graph each oth-
er in giving a lesson in graphs.
The pupils seemed to be interest
ed and responsive. I thought
one room was a little disorderly
in having too many talking at
the same time. The teacher of
the seventh grade is delighted
with the tests; rfays tbey tell the
truth. Some excellent language
aids used in 3rd, 4th, and 5th
grades. The 5th and 6th grade
room has a tine museum in one
corner of the room.
Wednesday the supervisor was
ill. Checked and copied the re
port of the 6th and 7th grades of
the Linden school. Discussed
the tests with the teacher and
classes Thursday. The tests
were given in September. The
pupils bad not seen the reports,
yet I told there were five extra
pupils in each grade and tbey
were named by pupils of the class
□ot a single wrong pupil named
hi tbe seventh and only one in
the sixth. One pupil in the sixth
made a higher score than any
one hi the seventh. If these bad
been reported after a month, I
would have recommended that
he be put in Cfre seventh. It
should not be done aow for the
seventh is the most important
grade iu the process of education.
Friday, Arnold was visited for
a report on the tests from tbe
principal. They are not com-
pleted and were not! at the school.
Tbe U. S. Flag and fl%g pole were
not in evidence. Good work and
fine order.

To The People of Cass Co,
Beware.
There are people in the county
who are baying leases on land
and including in flic lease one-
half of your royalty, this carries-
with it one-half of all your annu-
al rentals.
It is not time to sell your rov-
alties yet. There will lie fifteen?
wells drilling-in the countv with-
in sixty days. When wells start
dilling royalty sill be much more
Valuable. Itemember your roy-
alty is much more valuable any
time than your lease value.
Again wr <sav know what you
are signing before you put your
name on the dotted line. Do'
not sell your birth right for a
mess of pottage.
