The health of tho community
at present- Far mora
are about up with their work,
but crops arc looking had on ac-
count of the recent cflld weather.
Mr. Ross Duncan and Miss
Leila Jaynes attended the enter-
tainment at New Prospect, last
Saturday night, they report a
large crow J and a splended time.
Prayer meeting at the church
is not very largely attended these
Sundays, there doesn't seem to
bo much interest takeu by tho
members.
Mrs.-A. S. Lemnrons and chil-
dren visited Mrs. Bell Lemmon
of Comet this week.
Mr. Morris Jaynes and wife of
Louis Okla, have been visaing
relatives in this community the
past few weeks.
Quite a uumberof our people
attended the public speaking at
Lodi, last Thursday night. The
Bailey qurestion which lias caus-
ed such an excitement, has been
settled, and I guess we will now
have more work and less talk.
Mr. Leo Williams- and Miss
Ruth Annre Lemmon of the
Lemmon' community were over
to tho Debating Society last Sat-
urday night.
Messrs Delbert Tollerson and
Frank Carter and their sisters
Misses Pearl and Minnie visited
in the "Bend" country Saturday
and Sunday.
Mr. Matt Lemmons went to
the county convention at Liuden
Tuesday.
As this is my first guess I' had
better cut it short. If this misses
the waste basket wilicome again.

respective jurisdictions to the
First Annual Convention of the
Congressional Red River Im-
provement Association at
Sbrevepert, Juno 19 and 20,
1008. They are further request-
ed to report the names of the
delegates they appoint to Mr.
Louis N. Brueggerhoff, Secretary
Sbrevcport Convention Commit-
tee, Shreveport, Lu. It is to be
hoped that a large and enthusi-
astic attendance from every sec-:
tion of the Red River valley will
be present at this the most im-
portant meeting ever held in
the interest of Red River.
