to provide assistance for the

With this in mind, Gamma Phi

to focus attention on the local area
and provide Thanksgiving dinners for
several needy families.
The club has asked that everyone

r Sustentation drive gets under way
An approximated gathering of 100 business
and civic leaders were in attendance yesterday,
Nov. 4, in the Fort Worth Club's Palm Room
for the Sixth Annual Kick-off Luncheon for
the Texas Wes 74 Sustentation Campaign.
A goal of $259$00 was announced by the
General Chairman, Mr. Judson A. Cramer, a
member of the Board of Trustees.
. Although a major portion of the college's
income is derived from student tuition and
fees, from the permanent endowment, and
through the United Methodist Churches in
Texas, additional income is necessary in order
that the operations of the institution can be car-
ried on and so that the development of its
programs can continue.
Individuals and business establishments in
the community, recognizing a responsibility
to the college, have furnished additional finan-
cial support each year.

The campaign is a concerted effort to
brii^g the needs of the institution before these
friends and to broaden the base of giving to
Texas Wesleyan.
Also involved in the drive are faculty and
staff members of the college. Chairman for
the \College Community Committee, which is
dedicated to making the campus more aware
of the drive, is Dr. Klaude Kendrick.
After a briefing luncheon held last Tuesday
by the committee, Dr. Kendrick explained to
Rambler representatives that all contributions
are made anonymously.
Their goal is total participation in non
amounts by the TWC faculty and staff, al-
jfrnngh the committee is in no way a pressure
group.
Dr. Kendrick also cited that the Sustenta-
tion Drive goals have always been met and
even Surpassed.
Although no direct appeal is made to the
student body, it was noted that their con-
tributions are welcomed and appreciated.
The drive, which was officially begun
Nov. 4, will run through Nov. 22.
