Freshman Class Holds
Open House
Miss Olivia Bynum of Midlothian,
president of the freshman class cf
Texas Woman's College, headed tho
receiving line at the open house of
the claSe hfld Saturday night in the
parlors of Ann Waggoner Hall. The
affair is the largest scheduled on
the freshman class social calendar
for this * semester.
Others who were in the receiving
line were President and Mrs. Tom
W. Bra'ham, Dean Law Sone, Miss
Anna Lois Burdette, student coun-
selor, Miss Mamie Pearl Parnell, of

Miss Ova Brown of Cisco, president
of the junior class, and Miss Lillian
Lundberg, sponsor of the freshman
class.
The colors of the class, green and
white, and the symbol of the class,
the fish, were carried out in the dec-
orations, favors and refreshments.
The parlor was decorated in fern
and chrysanthemums, the class flow-
er.
The refreshment J°S>m was trans-
formed into an aquariUm. "the gree i
walls formed a background for tho
vari-colored fish that were placed
around the room.
Favors were miniature fishing
poles., with a small fish attached.

A novelty number, "Fifty-seven Va-
rieties of Sweethearts", was pre-
