VISITS RICHARDSON
SQUARE MALL
Kaleidoscope will be
visiting Richardson Square
Mall February 29 through
March 7th. The exhibit is
available to children in
grades one through six.
Public sessions are held on
Saturday and one-half day
Sunday. The exhibit arrives
in two tractor trailers. The
sides fold down to become
floors and it is transformed
into a 2,000 sq. ft. Dis-
covery Room and Art
Workshop.
The unit will be located
on the south side of Rich-
ardson Square Mall in the
Montgomery Ward parking
lot. A supplement to
classroom art instruction,
Kaleidoscope encourages
self-expression. The
60-minute adventure of
Kaleidoscope is a positive
reinforcement of fun with
art.
KARATE EVENT
A Full Contact Karate
show will be at the Heila
Temple, 2121 Rowlett
Road in Garland on Satur-
day, March 3, at 7:00 p.m.
The sport event is presented
by Walt Mason and Texas
Karate Institution. All pro-
ceeds will be donated to
Shriners Hospital for Crip-
pled Children. Tickets are
tax deductible for charity.

the library and Sachse citi-
zens, delivering a wealth of
vital information and ad-
vice on how to cope suc-
cessfully with today's com-
plex marketplace. Step-by-
step procedures can make
you a better informed and
more effective consumer.
The advice is combined
with first-hand anecdotal
experiences told by real
consumers who share what
they have learned in the
marketplace. The discus-
sions are personal and con-
versational, yet they are
well-organized and clearly

Research and Extension

in Dallas is for you.
Come and hear Dr.
Beverly Brewer and H.A.
Turney, Extension Ento-
mologists teach how to
identify, prevent and con-
trol termites and wood
destroying beetles in the
structural wood. They will
also provide information
on beetle control in home
furnishings, specific ter-
mite preventative mea-
sures in new and existing
structures and how to
select a termite control
service.
This program is free
and open to the public.
TAX ASSISTANCE FREE
TO ALL CITIZENS

Mr. Clyde Bailey,
C.P.A., and well-known
Sachse citizen, has volun-
teered his Income Tax Ser-
vices free for all those
citizens over 65, who will
come to the library on
either of two Saturday
mornings during March,
between 10 a.m. and 12
p.m. The dates are March
10, 1984 and March 24,
1984. For further informa-
tion or assistance, please

Thursday or Saturday: tele-

LIBRARY RECEIVES
NEW CASSETTE TAPE
PLAYER/RECORDERS
Two new Bell & Howell
tape player/recorders were
received from the North
East Texas Library System
(NETLS) as donated equip-
ment through the member-
ship Dallas County Library
has in the NETLS organi-
zation. The units are
available for use in the
Library or Community
Room by Sachse Public
Library patrons. Shortly,
there will also be a Listen-
ing Center added, with four
sets of earphones. These
will be used with the
players, also.
EXPRESS TO SUCCESS
SEMINAR OFFERED
March 20, 1984, at 7:30
p.m., the Sachse Public
Library will sponsor an
evening with Dr. Gerald
Bisbee, world traveler,
Educator, Public Speaker
and Success Motivator. The
meeting will be held in
the Community Room in
Sachse City Hall. Dr.
Bisbee will be available for
questions after the meeting,
when refreshments will be
served.
His topic will be, "What
is the Combination for Suc-
cess and Affluence?".
Several topics to be discuss-
ed are: Opportunity, Pre-
paration, Training and Mo-
tivation. In working with
thousands of people, Dr.
Bisbee has discovered son;e
of the secrets of success.
Dr. Bisbee is presently
Director of Marketing and
Training for Texas Worid-
ERA, and is the Owner and
Director of Personal
Achievement Centers in
Iowa, Chicago and Hawaii.
He has traveled extensively
over 85% of the world on
government missions, and
holds degrees from North
Iowa University and
Boston University.
LAS VEGAS NIGHT
A Las Vegas Night with
prizes galore will be at the
Prestonwood Country Club
in Dallas on March 10,
from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30
a.m. The event is sponsored
by Young Variety of Texas,
Division of Variety Club of
Texas. Tickets will be sold
at the door, proceeds will
be donated to benefit physi-
cally disabled children in
Dallas/Ft. Worth rnetro-
plex. Tickets are tax deduc-
tible.

COLLECTING
MERCHANDISE
The Ladies Auxiliary to
the Sachse Fire Department
have started collecting mer-
chandise for their annual
rummage sale. The sale is
planned for May 19. Pro-
ceeds from it will go to the
fire department to help pur-
chase needed equipment. If
you have items you are
planning to discard, the
ladies will appreciate any
and all merchandise. To ar-
range a pick-up date, call

As a member of the Citizens' Zoning
Committee for the last nine months, I have
studied Sachse's present and future needs.
As a City Council member, I will work to:
Complete and adopt a master plan for Sachse;
Improve dialogue with developers to upgrade
the quality of new developments;
Attract beneficial commercial, educational,
athletic and medical facilities;
Resurface and seal our asphalt streets;
Acquire neighborhood parks and a wilderness
park area;
Expand our police and fire forces and equipment:

Support our library.
