TRIBUNE CHANGES OWNERS.
Having sold The Tribune to

go, I shall ever remember with
gratitude each kind friend and
neighbor who has contributed
^tjhe comfort and happiness of
my famtTyQJ]Ld myself.
By way of intr^ i?-tipn, I wish
to say that Mr. Reynolds, *v.ho
succeeds me as editor of The" '^band,' father antf&raadfaThen

sincerely desire that^the people
of this community give him
their loyal support and co-ope-
ration and 1 aui sure that he
will repay in,service that will
be helpful to all. Without your
cooperation no one can produce
a newspaper here.
Saint Jo and the surrov^nding
country is in a process of devel-
opment that may bring this com-
munity to the front rank in pro-
gress and prosperty. With your
cu-opcratior., Mr. Reynolds, thru
the medium of The Tribune,
will be a large factor in "putting
Saint Jo on the map."
Yours very truly,
W. T. Hays.
In assuming ownership and
control of the Tribune I become
a citizen of Saint Jo, and, ot
course, personally and vitally in-
terested in the prosperity, prog
ress and development of the en-
tire community of which the
town is the commercial center.
A# I see it, the town and com-
munity are on tbe eve of a solid
and substantial development. In
direoting the policy and course
of the Tribune it shall be my
"constant aim to work steadily for
the welfare and advancement of
tie entire commonwealth, and to
make the paper a constructive
force in the upbuilding of this
section.
In this laudable work I hereby
invite tbe undivided support and
co operation of the entire citizen*
ship, and especially of the busi.
nes* element of Saint Jo. The
Tribune is goiPg to reflect, as
truly as possible, the spirit, en-
terprise and progress of our
business tnun and institutions
A newspaper is the surest in-
dex of a town's aspirations and
achievements, and is so regarded
by the outside world. Hence a
