tho best hunting trips that they have
ever taken. The party has been awuy
from Abilene for twelve days and re-

Tuesday.
The party of nlmrods went to Pecos
and down the Pecos Vulley Southern

that section and taken lo their ratich-

the Davis mountains being some of
the finest hunting ground anywhere.
During the time the party was away
they killed a total of six deer five of
which they brought back with them to
Abilene. They report that duck- and
quail aro In profusion und killed many
of them.
Notably during tha time they were
out on these ranches they had occa-
sion to hunt the celebrated black boar
which abound iu this section. Num-
erous ot them were seen but none of
the party wero so fortuuate as to kill
one. This came about mostly on ac-
count of the dogs used by the party
not concentrating nn one bear at a
time but eacTt taking one thus mak
ing it a dlfrieult matter to bag any of
them.
