The engagement and approaching marriage of Miss
Vickie Hornsby of Texarkana, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. M. Harmon of that city has been an-
nounced by her parents. Miss Hornsby will wed
Wayne Tye, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Tye of
Naples, on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m., at the First
Baptist Church of Texarkana. Friends and relatives
of the couple are invited to attend the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Ben Best of Naples announce the
engagement and approaching marriage of their daugh-
ter, Kim, to Stanley Witt, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Jim Witt of Omaha. The bride-elect is a 1971
graduate of Paul H. Pewitt High School and is now
attending Kilgore Junior College. The prospective
bridegroom is also a Pewitt graduate and attended
East Texas University. He is presently employed by
the Rockford, 111., branch of General Tire Company.
The couple will exchange their wedding vows at
7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the First United Metho-
dist Church of Naples with the Rev. Jack Cox of-
ficiating. No invitations will be sent locally, but
friends and relatives of the couple are invited to
attend the ceremony.

ed $1,500 scholarships,
with their schools re-

up in each state will be
awarded a $500 edu-
cational grant.
Next spring, the 51
state winners, each ac-
companied by a faculty
adviser, will join for an
expense paid educational
tour of Williamsburg,
Va., and Washington, D.C.

daughter, Judith Lynn, to Charles Raymond Hamilton,
the son of Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Hamilton of Naples.
