SiNGING CONVENTION
ARRANGED THIS WEEK
The program for the three-day
Grayson county singing conven-
tion in Denison this weekend has
been completed and will include a
welcome address on Sunday by
E .McDaniel, superintendent ot
schools and response by B. B.
Newland, past president.
Groups and quartets from Okla-
homa, Dallas, Greenville, Bonham
and McKinney will attend. Offi-
cers of the county group are D. C.
Gordon, president; B. B. New-
kind, vice president and Carey
Rutherford, secretary.
The opening session will be
held at Mount Pleasant Baptist
church Friday evening while the
mass singing is scheduled for the
h:gh school.

our inside coat pockets. Passing
thru customs with an empty can in

on French soil, a safe distance
away and received a<rain the con-
tents from the envelopes he had
distributed. From customs we are
taken by bus to the famous Hotel
des Palmiers, in Nice, five miles
from Vil'.efranche. This grand
hostelry is to be our home while
we spend a few days "doing" the
gorgeous French Riviera.

ever—and. we find the French
| customs officials very courteous,
