colors of the College red and white
were prettily carted out In all the
rooms lu the hall where the guests
were received by Mr. and Mrs. Wrbb
and Mis Webb the columns and
balustrade were interwound with
Southern smilax and red and white
rose; College iwnnants were very
gracefully hung on the wall of this
room while tall pedestal held beauti-
ful jardiniere filled with rosea and
ferns.
The dining room whs very hauil-
omely de-orated. Occupying the
center of the table was a cut glass
vase filled with red and white carna-
tion. Maline tied with a pretty bow
at the chandelier extended to the
four corners of the table red candles
In cut glass candle sticks and mints
In bon-bon dishes gave the finishing
louche. A handsomer and more ef
fective punch table In rarely seen; It
developed the colors of thl room.
Maline Kaatcr Miles and ferns were

delicious punch was served by .Misses

The artistic decorations were con-
tinued lu the music room and parlor.
The wi.le veranda surrounding the

an out-door loom; on the floor were

were provided and vase of tlowern
gave a touch of beauty. Japanese
lant rns also added to the pretty sur-
rounding. During the receiving
hour a screened orchestra contribut-
ed a charming musical ptoKram. Dc-
licloiiH brirk cream and angel food
cake were served. For genuine cia-
hilit) and a thoroughly cnioyahle
evening' pleasure this event proved
to be a decided success that amply
repaid the hostess- for their efforts
on behalf of the honoree and all
other guests.
The Huchclor Clvls' Club will meet
with Miss Malcolm Mclnnis on
Thursday afternoon at :! o'clock.
The Week Knd Club will hold no
meeting next week.
The 'Stubborn Clint u alias'" will
meet with Miss Willie McDonald on
Friday afternoon at three- thirty.

all of which were greatly enjoyed.
An original poem by Mr. M. A For-
rls of Huntsvllle. proving especially
charming. This chapter will hold
their memorial exercises on the 21
of April ut one of the churches. This
