C. T. DeGraftenreid was in from
his Ceta ranch Wednesday. He
informed the News reporter that
his cattle sale held at Plainview
on the 2nd inst. was fairly success-
ful having disposed of some 15
head of young bulls and found buy-
ers for more stuff that he did not
have at the sale.

S. H. Heyser and the two U. S.
Forestry representatives returned
Tuesday from the Canon after
spending several days profitably in
studying plant culture and growth
on the Plains. S. H. was so en-
raptured from the enthusiasm of
these government representatives
who it might be said with all con-
sistency have seen most of the
great natural wonders of the earth's
formation in the U. S. that he came
back with dreams of this great
phenomena on the treeless" plains
becoming a peer in point of attrac-
tion to the great Yellowstone Park
and he must have had an idea Wed-
nesday morning of darning the
"crater" and making an artificial
lake where thousands of people
could go yachting for he was seen
early in the morning walking down
trie streets with a pick on his shoul-
der. The party killed a nice deer
while on the trip.
Homer Faulkner returned from a
visit to Missouri last Wednesday.

the old schedule arriving at Ft.
Worth 5:10 p. m. maintaining con-
nections with other lines for all
Texas points also for the old
