many. and France The latter pro-
duction, hailed by critics through-
out the world for Us poetic beauty,
wit, humor and rhythm was pro
duced m Hebrew, a language with
which he was unfamiliar. The cur-
rent production is the first ever
presented by Chekhov in English.
Originally formed in Kngland,
the company is made up principal-
ly now of young American play-
