AIR SCOUTING QUOTES
I
Lt. General Henry H. Arnold,
Chief of the U. S. Army Air Forces,
has said:
"To know that the Boy Scouts of
America are making available a pro-
gram of air training is good news
to us of the Army Air Corps. I, per-
sonally, congratulate you Scouts on
living in this period of progress, and
on being in step with it."
And Rear Admiral J. H. Towers,
Chief of the Navy's Bureau of
Aeronautics, says:
"Do not feel that because you may
now be too young to be a pilot or a
member of a ground crew you have
no part in this program. The field of
preparation has many fronts. The
demands for knowledge and skill in
aviation are legion. Begin now. Read
aviation. Study it. Model plane build-
ing is a sound foundation. Learn to
distinguish types, friend and enemy.
Remember your motto — prepare for
any emergency!"
