1 appropriate. 2 (g) A member of the board of directors of a homestead 3 preservation reinvestment zone: 4 (1) is not a public official by virtue of that 5 position; and 6 (2) unless otherwise ineligible, may be appointed to 7 serve concurrently on the board of directors of a local government 8 corporation created under Subchapter D, Chapter 431, 9 Transportation Code. 10 (h) The board of directors created in this section has the 11 powers and duties prescribed by Sections 311.010 and 311.011, Tax 12 Code. 13 SECTION 4. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011.
