No. 2935 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the appointment of a court reporter by a criminal law 3 magistrate in Bexar County. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1. Subchapter D, Chapter 52, Government Code, is 6 amended by adding Section 52.0441 to read as follows: 7 Sec.. 52.0441. COURT REPORTERS FOR CRIMINAL LAW MAGISTRATES 8 IN BEXAR COUNTY. Each full-time Bexar County criminal law 9 magistrate, with the consent and approval of the Commissioners 10 Court of Bexar County, may appoint an official court reporter to 11 serve that magistrate. The reporter is a sworn officer of the court 12 who holds office at the pleasure of the magistrate. 13 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect October 1, 2011.
