Foe For The Mustangs
Coach Pat Geralds Mustangs
will enter the San Angelo Bob-
cat game at San Angelo Friday
night about on even terms in
what may turn out to be the
highest scoring contest of the
season.
The Bobcats have won 4
games, tied 1 and lost 3 this
season as compared to the Mus-
tangs record of 3 wins against
5 losses. '
The Bobcats opened the sea-
son at Denison losing 19-6. The
following week the Bobcats
overcame a 13 point lead to tie
Lubbock 13-13. San Angelo began

Bobcats came back to down
Midland but then lost a close
20-19 decision to Big Spring in
their last outing.
Like the Mustangs, San An-
gelo had last week off and the
winner Friday night may easily
be decided by the progress
shown in the two weeks bqth
teams have hadi to get ready for
this tilt.
Back in the Mustang line-up
this week will be Co-Captain
"Rusty" Allen who has been
out of the last two games be-
cause of a shoulder injury. Max
Feagan, who did not suit out
for the Odessa game, was back
in practice early in the week
following that game.
This weeks scrimmages has
found Choc Walker moving up
to first string quarterback in
place of Robert Dulaney and
Jack Schoppa moved into the
halfback post in place of| Baxter
Lambert. The other halfback
post is filled by Allen with
Jackie Sheets moving back to
the second team after doing some
fine offensive play during
Allen's absence.

They racked up their 28th win
in a row last Friday when they

NEW YORK, Nov. 19, (UP)—
Investigations are flying thick
and fast on the New York box-
ing scene.
District Attorney Frank Ho-
gan is investigating the Jake
Lamotta—Billy Fox fight. So is
the New York Athletic Com-
mission. And now New York
State Democratic chairman Paul
Fitzpatrick wants the Athletic
Commission investigated.
Many observers believe Ho-
,gan's inquiry will include an
inspection of Lamotta's finances.
The Bronx middleweight's bank
account may be seized.

Bobcats Tough
Coach Red Ramsey's San An-
gelo Bobcats are feared mightily
by the local footballers and
there is expected to be some
good playing when the Bobcats
and Mustangs meet even though
the outcome has no bearing on
the title.
Several changes will probably
present in the Mustang line-up
if this weeks practice holds true
to form. The Bobcats are ex-
pected to do likewise, with an
eye towai'd the '48 season.

along but they let the Mrs. do
the honors.
