New cycle policy in effect a Hood
direct that all soldiers assigned
or attached to Fort Hood or
otherwise under my jurisdic-
tion comply with the safety
policy set forth below when
operating or riding a motorcy-
cle on or off fort Hood.
THIS POLICY IS effective
immediately.
All soldiers who operate or
ride a motorcycle on or off Fort
Hood will comply with the fol-
lowing requirements:
All soldiers who operate a
motorcycle must have a valid
state operator’s permit.
All soldiers who operate a
motorcycle must have proof of
financial responsibility as re-
quired by Texas State law.
All soldiers who operate a
motorcycle must successfully
complete the Fort Hood motor-
cycle operator safety course in-
cluding the road test assess-
ment.
All soldiers must wear re-
flective clothing on the upper
body such as a jacket vest or
reflective bands whenever they
operate or ride a motorcycle.
All soldiers ust ear

have written approval from
their unit commander before
