"What Boys and Olrls Expect of
Their Parents" is the subject of a
Student panel discussion to take
place at a Rotary club dinner
meatinit Tuesday night.'Tp be held
in St rk high auditorium, begin-
ning ,at , 7 o'clock, the. discussion
will be dit-oeted- by Mrs. "Elwood
.Street of Bridgeport; Conii., Hogg
Foundation discussion leader for
youth and parent groups.
The panel will be composed of
three girls and three boys from
Stark high school selected by Paul
Pearson, principal, who will an-
nounce their names later.
The Rotary dinner will do honor
to wives of Rotary members, and
parents will be permitted to ask
questions they would like answer-
ed, it was announced-
Mrs. Street will meet with sen-
iors Tuesday morning at 8:45, Mrs.
N. J. Athas, director of pupil per-
sonnel, said to help them with
whatever problems they have to
present. That afternoon she will
ho at Anderson school auditorium
to conduct a panel discussion on
"Feelings, How They're Hurt and
Healed," in Which -a representative
from each PTA urfit of the city
will participate.
Oi^inge is the first of a number
of Texas towns Mrs. Street is in-
cluding on this tour, which the
Hogg foundation has arranged for
the benefit of the schools. Mrs.
Athas has heard her speak or eon-
duct panels on prpvious occasions i
and highly recommends her as |
having a distinctive knowledge for
working -with both the young peo-
ple and their parents and teachers
on problems relative to the family
circle, classroom or community.
Those on the PTA panel Tues-
day afternoon were listed by Mrs.
G. Y. Swickard, president of the
City Council of PTA, as follows:

.Frank Miller, Curtis, Mrs. Paul
Pearson and Mrs. A. D. Baker.

One person was given a ticket
for running a stop sign which re-
sulted In a traffic accident Satur-
day at-3:30 p. m* at Green avenue
and Mill street, according to, po-1
lice reports. ' . v
The car ran ■ across Green i and
hit a parked car, causing - minor
damage estimated at $.15. No in-
juries were, reported by Investi-
gating Officers -V. Berry and ^ E.
Cooper,
Another accident involving $150
in total damages, occurred Friday
morning at Oreen and Seventh
streets. A city bus stopped -to let
passengers off and then started -to
make a right turn when a 1940
Bulck, going in the same direction,-
made a right turn around the bus,
hitting the fender.
No injuries and no arrests were
reported by Investigating Officer
O. A. Folsom.
