THE WEEKLY DEMOCRAT-QAZWTE, THURSDAY, AUG. 29,1918.
Waists that Would Represent Good
Values at $1.50 are Still Priced
at Weaver's, The Big Cash
Store, at $1.00
rl
ICTHMOR
All lines of reputable Blouses that formerly sold
nt *1.00, with oue notable exception, have long since
because of advancing material and labor costs, ad-
vanced their prices to $1 50.
That one exception is the "WIIiTHMOR.
Back of the Wirthmor name stands a high ideal
of Blouse making, that insists on giving to the con-
sumer the very ultimate in genuine value.
It is that ideal, that never failing policy that
still enables you to buy these wonderful Blouses at
$1 .00, when the materials and labor eutering into
their construction have advanced so exorbitant)} as
to warrant a price of fully $1 50.
When the makers' present stock of matetiuls
is exhausted, an advance in the price of
these splendid Waists will be inevitable.
Until that time arrives the price will remain
&1.00, permitting our patrons to share in
the large savings that come as a result of the
economies of the Wirthmor plan.
THE 50 per cent saving as
above explained on Wirth-
raore Waists will hold good
throughout

TO THE VOTERS OF McKINMEY
AND COLLIN COUNT*
As I attempt to express by gratitude
to the cltlsens ot McKinney and Col*
iin eonnty who are responsible for my
nomination to the offico of pfeunty
<*|erk. by a majority of tjiu votes, al-
low me to say that the Joy of .success
Is mellowed and tempered by the
thought of the serious responsibilities
that your expressed preference has
placed upon my shoulders. While I
felt, when I offered myself as ;i candi-
date for tills offico, that 1 was com-
j petent to discharge the duties of th4
i office, yel, I fully realise that as ft
public servant, 1 must measure tip to
' tho high confidence you reposed in
me when you cast your vop for my
nomination. And I shall ■ -mostly
strive that my official and private
life shall be such that not one of you
shnll ever have cause to regret the
fact that you exercised your right of
suffrage in my behalf.
To my honorable opponent, and tho
friends who so loyally supported her,
i sincerely express my kindliest feel-
ings. While i rejoice in the success
granted me by a majority of the vot-
ers of the county, I feel no pleasure
In the fact of iny opponent's defeat,
for I, too, know tho taste of defeat,
having boon a candidate once beforo-
for tli is same office.
To that large number of splendid
cillzcns who voted for my opponent, I
permit mo to say that as far as 1 am
concerned, I have no enemies, polit-
ically or otherwise. I earnestly de-
sire tho friendship of each one of you
and shall I strive to ho a Just and
righteous servant to all.
AkuIii thanking my friends who
gave mo their earnest support ami
