BOSTICK FAMILY
Mr. Bostick married a Viss Swearengin, daughter of a couple
mentioned in the diaries as #Grandpa and Orandmra Swearengin".
Other Swearengin children were Lewis, Sam, Vest and possibly
Sarah Jane. It is uncertain whether Sarah Jane was e alster to
the Swearengin boys or the daughter of one of them, as she seemed
to be much younger. The 1,lsa Swearengin above wes born Xarch 11,
1813. She married 2nd Mr. J. E. Catlin and had several Cat1ln
children.
The dpta on the BostAok family Is from letters of Alice Lee,
one dated June 29, 1938 Temple, Texses and the other October 10,
1956, Dallas, Texas.
1. Maria Lawrence Bestick. b. 7-22-1834 according to the
diary of Sarah Charlotte (Pier) Wiley, died 1884.
Married let Frank Shelburne (brother to Calpernla
Shelburne who n. Andrew Jackson Bell and Wm. Shelburne
who is mentioned as "Callle Bell'a uncle'); married
2nd Apr. 28, 1862 E. J. Torrence from Gollad. She was
known in the neighborhood as "Sis Torrence11 or "Sis T".
A. Susan (Sukey) Shelburne a. James Kenney Lee, Bson of
Abram Lee and Ann Jane Xenney, who was a dau. of
Rev. John Wesley Kenney.

B. Mollie Shelburne n. Clemons
C. A son who died.
2. Mary (Mollie) Bostick m. Joe McCampbell. She was born
May 13, but year not given. Probably died In 1861.
