One of the oldest .farmers lu the

wheat Is very flue. The acreage of

larger thau lat year
There are campers here and there
around the suburb of the city. Many
of them art! poo and some of them
may be sick. . A tour among them by
some practical cbi iKtians might open
up a field for philauthropby.
; The general health of the city Is very-
good. There has been some cases of
pneumonia but the number of deaths
during the last month In proportion
to the population proves Dallas one of
the healthiest points in the state.
-There is quite a dearth of amuse-
ments just now. Ours is a queer com-
munity In this respeoV We crowd ev-
erything into a week or two and then
improvise a Lenten season of soberness
for a month. There is nothing like
some regularity and un equal distribu-
tion of gayety through the winter.
